Liwa Oasis ; best entry points and current conditions

After the summer the dunes in Liwa will have shifted again. Starting a thread to track current conditions and good entry points. The main Al Ain approach is straightforward but the tracks around the Moreeb area change every season. Who has been recently and what are conditions like?

Was there two weeks ago. Moreeb face is in excellent condition, some of the best I have seen in years. The sand is soft and powdery after the summer winds which makes it forgiving for climbs.

Good to know about Moreeb. What is the fuel situation ; is the Liwa Total still the last reliable fuel before the deep desert?

Liwa Total is good. The ADNOC in the Liwa Oasis area now has a proper rest area and is well stocked. Beyond that you are self-sufficient territory ; plan accordingly.
