This 6-day, 2,220 km overland expedition traces a full loop from Dubai deep into Oman’s Sharqiya and Al Wusta deserts, crossing the Wahiba Sands, the coastal wetlands of Bar Al Hikman and the white Sugar Dunes near Al Khaluf before returning via Nizwa. The full day-by-day route is below. Tire pressure adjustments are critical throughout, dropping to 10-12 PSI for deep sand and soft coastal tracks, and increasing slightly for rocky or tarmac sections. Ensure vehicle cooling systems, air filters and recovery gear are fully serviced prior to departure. The ideal window for this expedition extends from December through March.
The AED 4,800 per-rig price covers hotel accommodation for every night of the trip. A 2-night camping option (Wahiba Sands and Bar Al Hikman) is also available for those who prefer to camp instead, at no change to the price.

This is a moderate-difficulty drive covering 2,220 km in Wahiba / Sharqiya. All drives are marshal-led - you do not need prior off-road experience, but a capable 4WD vehicle with appropriate ground clearance is required.

Any full-time or part-time 4WD with a low-range transfer case and at least 200 mm ground clearance is suitable. Popular vehicles on our drives include the Toyota Land Cruiser (LC70–300 series), Nissan Patrol Y60/Y61, Toyota Prado, and Ford Bronco. Recovery gear is strongly recommended.
