The Margham to Solar Park Sand Corridors drive is a 32 km easy-rated community route across the flat desert landscape south of Margham Farm, following wide sand corridors that run parallel to the perimeter service tracks of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park — one of the world’s largest single-site solar installations. The route departs from the Margham Farm area and enters the desert immediately on a wide, well-defined sand track that requires basic deflation to 24-26 PSI for comfortable progress over the intermittent soft sections. The terrain is predominantly flat with occasional low wind-deposited ridges averaging 2 to 4 metres in height that are crossed with minimal technique. The solar park perimeter creates a visually striking backdrop of ranked solar panel arrays visible for several kilometres across the desert floor — a distinctly modern contrast to the raw desert landscape. The route is suitable for families, new members, and any driver who wants a relaxed, wide-open desert run close to Dubai without significant technical demands. The full route covers approximately 3 hours and returns to the Margham junction via a parallel corridor. Best driven October through March when morning temperatures are comfortable before 10 AM.
The AED 50 per-person fee covers full marshal-led convoy support, GPX routing, and on-trail recovery assistance. All participants receive a route debrief and access to the post-drive community report.
