The Wadi Abadilah & Masafi Stream Run is a 22 km easy-rated community drive through the lower section of Wadi Abadilah above Masafi, following the gravel stream bed through a sequence of wide, palm-shaded gorge sections and open gravel fans. The wadi begins near the Masafi Friday Market junction and drops progressively through a series of wide dry riverbeds edged by acacia and date palms. Driving on the gravel bed requires moderate tyre placement around occasional larger stones but involves no steep grades or technical obstacles. The track surface is consistently firm with good drainage, making this one of the most reliable year-round routes in the northern emirates. The route covers approximately 3 hours at a relaxed pace and is suitable for families, new members, and drivers wanting a straightforward mountain scenery run without technical demands. The midpoint of the wadi widens to an open boulder flat that provides an ideal rest and photo stop. Return is via the sealed Fujairah-Masafi Road. Deflation is not required for this route. Masafi area wadis typically see cool overnight temperatures in March, making morning departures pleasant even late in the cool season.
The AED 50 per-person fee covers full marshal-led convoy support, GPX routing, and on-trail recovery assistance. All participants receive a route debrief and access to the post-drive community report.
