Everyone knows Hatta Dam and the obvious routes but there is so much more to explore in the Hatta mountains. I have been systematically exploring the lesser known tracks over the past year. The ridge line trails above Hatta Heritage Village offer views that most people have never seen.
Those ridge tracks are special. Also recommend the old route that connects toward the Oman border area — obviously do not cross but the approach track is dramatic. Check for any restricted zones first.
Absolutely. The Hatta Lakes area has gentle graded tracks perfect for first timers. Great entry point. From there you can build up to more technical terrain as confidence grows.
