These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the 4WD Authority website at 4wdauthority.com (the “Site”) and all associated services, including our events platform, classifieds marketplace, WooCommerce shop, vehicle and gear rentals, and community forums. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or make a purchase on 4WD Authority. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are accessing the Site on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Site, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials confidential and not share your password with any third party
• Notify us immediately at mansoor@4wdauthority.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or have been inactive for extended periods.

3. Marketplace Rules

Our classifieds marketplace and Dokan vendor platform allow users to buy and sell 4×4 vehicles, parts, accessories, and related goods. By creating a listing or making a purchase, you agree to the following:

• Accuracy: All listings must be accurate, complete, and not misleading. You must disclose known defects, accidents, or modifications that materially affect a vehicle or item.
• Prohibited items: You may not list stolen goods, counterfeit parts, illegal modifications, firearms, or any item prohibited by UAE law.
• No fraud: Shill bidding, fake listings, price manipulation, and any form of deceptive conduct are strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account suspension and referral to authorities.
• Transactions: 4WD Authority facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to private sale transactions. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or title of any item listed.
• Vendor accounts: Dokan vendors must comply with all applicable UAE commercial laws, maintain accurate inventory, and fulfil orders promptly. 4WD Authority reserves the right to remove listings or suspend vendor accounts that breach these standards.

4. Expedition and Event Booking Terms

4WD Authority organises paid 4×4 expedition drives and events. The following terms apply to all event bookings:

• Bookings: All event registrations require full payment at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.
• Cancellation by participant: Cancellations made more than 14 days before an event will receive a full refund less a 10% administration fee. Cancellations made 7–14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days.
• Cancellation by 4WD Authority: If we cancel an event due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient registrations, all participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future event.
• Liability waiver: All expedition participants are required to sign a liability waiver before participating. Off-road driving and expedition activities carry inherent risks including vehicle damage, injury, or death. By booking an event, you acknowledge these risks and agree that 4WD Authority, its officers, guides, and employees shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where caused by our proven gross negligence.
• Vehicle requirements: Participants must attend with a road-legal, mechanically sound vehicle appropriate for the event. 4WD Authority reserves the right to exclude a participant whose vehicle is deemed unsafe by the event guide.
• Conduct: Participants must follow the instructions of event guides at all times. Reckless, aggressive, or dangerous driving will result in immediate exclusion from the event without refund.

5. Shop and Product Purchases

Purchases made through our WooCommerce shop are subject to our standard product return and refund policy, which is displayed at checkout. Prices are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated and include applicable VAT. We reserve the right to cancel any order where a product is mispriced or out of stock, with a full refund issued.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site that is owned by 4WD Authority ; including logos, trademarks, text, images, videos, and software ; is protected by copyright and intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission. User-generated content (forum posts, listings, comments) remains the intellectual property of the respective user, but by posting it you grant 4WD Authority a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content as part of our services.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Post content that is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, or violates the rights of any third party
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the Site without our written consent
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Spam other users through our messaging or forum systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, and take legal action where prohibited conduct is identified.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, 4WD Authority and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or any service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content and services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content on the Site, including user-generated content, vehicle listings, or third-party vendor products.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) or, where applicable, the UAE federal courts. We encourage users to contact us first to resolve disputes amicably before initiating legal proceedings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
