ADIHEX – the Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition – wrapped up its 23rd edition on 6 September 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, running from 28 August. It was the biggest edition in the show’s history, with a record 2,405 exhibitors from 71 countries. What Is ADIHEX?
ADIHEX is the region’s premier showcase for hunting, falconry, equestrian sports, and the full spectrum of outdoor adventure. Organised by the Emirates Falconers’ Club and held under the patronage of UAE leadership, it draws exhibitors and visitors from across the GCC, Europe, and Central Asia. The Falcon Auction – The Heart of the Show
Nothing at ADIHEX generates more energy than the falcon auction, and the 2026 edition delivered a new record. A rare white Gyr falcon sold for Dh2.1 million, the highest price ever paid at the auction, after bidding on another rare bird had already climbed past Dh1.5 million earlier in the show. Bidding at the formal auction opens at Dh50,000 – with an online participation deposit of Dh5,000 for remote bidders.
The spectacle of watching a trained auctioneer work a room full of experienced falconers is unlike anything else in the region. Even without any interest in buying, it is worth understanding why falconry is as embedded in UAE identity as anything you will encounter here. Only a fraction of the falcons submitted make it to the floor – each is examined for feather integrity, breed rarity, and overall health before being approved for listing.
4×4, Camping & Outdoor Gear
For the 4×4 community, ADIHEX is one of the most relevant shows of the year. The outdoor and overland section featured regional and international brands showcasing everything from recovery gear and rooftop tents to air compressors, GPS units, and full vehicle builds. Show pricing and direct-from-distributor access made it a strong window to buy ahead of the winter driving season.
Visitors saw live vehicle demonstrations, wadi and dune setups on display, and conversations with suppliers who actually understand the terrain you drive. It is a significantly more targeted environment than a generic motor show.
Hunting Equipment & Firearms
ADIHEX is one of the only venues in the UAE where regulated hunting equipment is showcased legally and comprehensively. International firearms brands, ammunition suppliers, optics manufacturers, and hunting apparel labels all exhibited. Enthusiasts from the GCC came specifically for this section – both to source equipment and to meet the broader hunting community in a setting where the culture is understood and respected.
Equestrian & Saluki Shows
The equestrian section brought together horse breeders, trainers, and enthusiasts from across the Arab world. Arabian horse displays, riding demonstrations, and breed showcases ran throughout the event. Saluki dogs – the ancient desert hunting dog of the Arabian Peninsula – also had dedicated show floor space, with breeders and handlers presenting these elegant animals in a tradition that goes back centuries.
UAE President’s Cup Qualification
Falcons that pass the ADIHEX vetting committee receive the coveted ADIHEX badge, which qualifies them for entry in the UAE President’s Cup – the country’s most prestigious falconry flying competition. For serious falconers, securing a bird with this qualification is a primary objective of the show.
Looking Ahead to ADIHEX 2027
